Over the past month or so, I have been posting blog articles and sending emails relative to attorneys.  As busy lawyers, we get so much garbage in our inboxes.  If you're like me, you just swipe left or right to delete the garbage without even opening it.

When I decided to start sending regular emails to the many attorneys on my list of contacts, I decided to try very hard to be "over the target" with the information I give you. I wanted it to be useful to you, whether you're a trial lawyer or another type of lawyer. Based on the feedback I've received from many of you, I believe I have been doing that.

In this week's email and corresponding blog, I will not be discussing a legal topic. Given that it's Thanksgiving week, I'm simply going to say thank you to you.

This week, I took my firm to Portico restaurant here in Richmond's west end for our annual "Firmsgiving" luncheon. As we enjoyed an amazing meal together, I thought about how great of a year we've had. This year has been the best year in my firm's history. And that is due to one thing: the quality cases that have been referred to us by other lawyers.

As the owner of a small but growing "boutique" litigation firm, attorney referrals are my life blood. Yes, we do market our services to the public at large. But we do no television, billboard, or radio advertising (at least not yet). We aren't playing a volume game. We are playing a quality game, and I believe the best cases come from other attorneys like you.

So, on behalf of The Mottley Law Firm, Happy Thanksgiving. If we can be of service to you, whether it be to collaborate with you on a significant case, or to handle an outright referral of a case to us, please reach out. We specialize in making our referral sources look good to their clients.
